Trans Americas Mortorcycle World Record Attempt
Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina in 34 Days
The key to setting a new Trans Americas World Record in 34 days or less is to set the best route for the riders to take. In previous records, the route was set by specific places to stop or based on taking roads of scenic interest. The 34 for 40 team has one goal in mind to raise money for the Pat Tillman Foundation by breaking a world record. Scenic touring, this is not.
With this in mind, we are asking you, travelers of the Western Hemispheres abundant highways, byways, and back roads, to help us with route planning and live updates on road conditions.
The current record holders traveled from Lethbridge, Canada to Tucson, AZ and departed the United States through Nogales, AZ. They went on to cross Mexico along its west coast. We are considering a trip that will maximize travel within the United States taking advantage of interstate highways and well paved alternate roads for as long as it makes sense. We too, will enter the US near Lethbridge, however, we are currently considering departing the States near Laredo, Texas.
Help us plan the world record route by sending us an email to route@34for40.org. We will try to give you our best guess on when we will be in your area and where you can join us for the ride.
Check back to the site regularly for more detail or send us your email address to receive updates.
